Do I need a Psychology degree?
No. A Bachelor's degree is the minimum educational requirement. Psychology or an allied mental-health background is preferred but not mandatory.
Do I need prior work experience?
No. The programme is designed for graduates entering the field as well as those transitioning into counselling.
Is the programme online?
No. Students are required to attend in person in Coimbatore because of the programme's strong practical component. Faculty delivery may include hybrid teaching.
How long is the programme?
It is a one-year postgraduate diploma programme.
Is there practical training?
Yes. Practical training is a core component of the programme.
Is supervision included?
The programme includes structured supervision as part of the practice–development model.
What is the admission process?
Enquiry → Application → Entrance Assessment → Selection → Admission Confirmation.
Does the programme make me a Clinical Psychologist?
No. A Saaya PG Diploma does not by itself qualify a graduate to practise as a Clinical Psychologist or another regulated profession. Such professional roles have separate qualification and registration requirements.
Can I work as a counsellor after completing the programme?
The programme prepares students for counselling and wellbeing-related roles, but employment eligibility depends on the specific role, organisation, and applicable requirements. Schools and organisations may have their own recruitment criteria.
Is Saaya accredited?
Saaya is currently working towards relevant accreditation and recognition. The status and scope of any formal recognition will be communicated transparently once obtained.
